Description
White pepper is made from regular peppercorns whose black husk has been removed before grinding. White pepper is spicier and sharper than black pepper, with slightly fruity undertones. Use as you would black pepper or in a pepper blend, for any dish that could benefit from an extra kick. White pepper is also ideal for lighter-colored dishes and soups when you do not want flakes of black peppercorns to show. It is also a fundamental ingredient in Chinese cuisine, where it is preferred for its stronger flavor, and classic French cuisine, where it is especially used in cream-based sauces and soups, and for chicken and fish recipes.
