Description
Used especially in Italian, Greek, and other Southern European cuisines, Mediterranean oregano is more delicate than the Mexican variety, but stronger than Turkish oregano. Its sweet yet strong flavor and aroma makes it perfect for pasta sauce, or in a bread dip with other spices, accompanied by a good extra virgin olive oil. Due to the delicate nature of dried herbs, we recommend adding oregano towards the end of cooking time.
