Description
Oolong is a traditional Chinese tea, which is mostly grown in the Fujian province. This premium variety of Oolong is also called Huangjin Gui, after the yellow golden color of its budding leaves and its unique flowery aroma. The traditional preparation of Oolong is unique, requiring leaves to be first sun-dried and then oxidized before curling and twisting them. The process gives Oolong the characteristics of both black and green teas, resulting in an extremely enjoyable, sweet and smooth medium bodied cup, with fresh floral notes. Oolong tea can also be brewed several times from the same leaves, and is the only tea variety that improves with rebrewing! The same leaves can be reused up to five times, and the third and fourth steeping are usually considered the best by tea connaisseurs. Naturally vegan and gluten-free, contains caffeine.
Steep 1 tsp of Oolong tea for each 8 ounces of water at 195 – 205 °F for up to 6 minutes.
Available in 1 and 2.75 ounces.
