Description
Ojoche, also called Maya Nut or Jaguar Nut, is a naturally decaffeinated coffee alternative like chicory and mushroom coffee, however, unlike chicory and mushroom coffee, it actually does taste like a good ol’ cup of joe!
Brew as you would coarse coffee, in a French press, percolator, or drip coffee machine. It won’t dissolve unlike instant coffee.
Its flavor profile is almost identical to a full-bodied, rich dark roast with notes of mocha.
Ojoche is also naturally high in many vitamins and minerals, as well as antioxidants, and is a great source of folic acid, which makes it ideal for expecting and nursing women, but can be enjoyed by everybody.
If you aren’t a fan of coffee but are interested in its health benefits, Ojoche can also be added as is to smoothies and baked goods. Naturally gluten-free and vegan.
